Hi I've recently noticed that the transformer gets quite hot to the touch. It's not burning hot however it does seem a bit hotter after the speedball upgrade. My question is how hot should I expect the transformer to get on the Crack? I am able to listen to the amp for several hours with no problems though; it just gets kind of hot after extended periods of time. I apologize if this is a silly question but I would just like to confirm whether or not I should be concerned with the heat.

How are your voltage measurements?

The Speedball produces a very tiny increase in heat within the transformer, but it is still run well under its limits.

It's been several weeks since I've tested the voltages. When I tested, everything seemed to test fine. I am currently at work at the moment so I won't be able to test again until I'm out of here. I will run another voltage test and post them once I get home.

Those look quite good, there's no need to be concerned with the transformer temperature.

Fwiw after a hour or more of listening my crack becomes quite warm too. I know the transformer is heating up and I suppose the big tube is also contributing the a hot transformer
