Hello,

I am having a couple of issues after installing the speedball upgrade. While removing one of the resistors to install the upgrade, there was a large spark (forgot to bleed capacitors). After installing the upgrade, when I turn on the unit, all LEDs and tubes light up with the exception of the LEDs at A3 and A8. I'm hesistant to do any voltage checks until I resolve this issue, as there's something clearly wrong with the circuits. I've checked all solder joints that were modified in the installation. Any ideas? Could the LEDs at A3 and A8 have been blown?

Thanks in advance

If your capacitors were holding charge, then you have mis-built the power supply. The 270KΩ resistor is there to drain the caps, and it should do so in a matter of seconds after the power is turned off.

Doing voltage checks will be the only way to resolve this issue.

It's very unlikely that the LED's on the 9 pin socket are damaged.
