Just a quick question.

I can't seem to get the nylon standoff that is supposed to go on the top of the 9 pin socket to stay because there is not enough of the screw sticking out of the nut to screw the standoff on.  The instruction manual specifically says not to remove the nut, but I won't be able to screw it on otherwise.

Should I go out and get a longer screw at the hardware shop or is it ok to remove the nut?

Thanks for any feedback.

The kit should have come with two 4-40x1/4" screws and two 4-40x3/8". The two 4-40x3/8" screws were to attach the two sockets and terminal strips together. The other two that are shorter go in the socket holes that have no terminal strips. Perhaps you used a longer one on the wrong side of one socket. If that is the case, you should not have to go out and buy extra screws, just swap them.
