When I built my crack I recalled reading that noise in the circuit is inevitable but ok as long as it's in an area of rotation of the volume pot which is louder than any sane listening level.

Ok, I'll assume it's the same on the SEX. For curiosity I turned up the volume to max with no music playing. A little hum, but more noticeable on the right channel.

Since this is inaudible at normal listening volumes, is this anything that should cause me to recheck my work?

BTW- the SEX sounds great and it's only got a few hours on it

Thanks all!

If you don't have the inputs shorted when you're doing this, no conclusions can really be drawn.

No hum with shorted inputs. Problem is elsewhere! Thanks-
