I know a lot of Bottleheads are wood workers as I am. For years I have wanted to build a crosscut sled and I just got around to it and finished it today.  I feel stupid for waiting so long, it is a handy tool. The trick is squaring it. On you tube there is a video  by the Wood Whisper on how to  build and square the sled. It is easy, it just takes patience, a set of calipers and feeler gages.  I got my sled to be square within 0.001" in a 15" cut (a bit of beginners luck). If you have a table saw and don't have a crosscut sled you will really benefit from one, plus like Bottlehead kits it is fun to build it yourself.
