cathode bypass cap location

I am doing some more playing with cathode bypass cap.
Is there a 2a3 filament pin 1 or 4 to connect the bypass cathode to directly. Either pin 1 or pin 4?
It looks like the safe thing is connect it to middle lug of hum pot since it ties pin 1 and pin 4 together for that circuit. If I'm speaking correctly for that description of the pins.
I'm just taking the cathode bypass cap off the board is the only reason for the question.

It must go to the wiper of the hum pot; otherwise the hum pot won't work properly.
