I went to ugprade my pot and it turns out I may have been a bit over zealous with bending the wires around the connectors and also a bit over the top with the solder. Long Story short  I need to replace some cabling as I ended up cutting some of the wires to get them off the old pot now they aren't long enough to reinstall. This is the 20 AWG Carol A  Solid core  that connects to the RCA jacks , some tubes and the ground to the ouput jack.

I've figure out some of the spec's Rated to 105 C and 600V.  But being somewhat new to this hobby am not confident enough to just order cable. WIll just any old solid core 20 AWG...

I'm looking at this in the various colors: DigiKey C2118G-100-ND ( really can't link to it ?)

But really don't need 100ft x 3 and so am also looking at  a 20 AWG Solid Core, 50', Lacquered Cloth Cover, Black, 600 Volt.  Amazon ASIN B00CPR9HK0

which is more expensive per foot,.ends up costing less, and seems like it may be harder to fit and shape. The later also doesn't leave me with 292 foot of spare cable. :)

Any other suggestions? Am happy to buy more premium cable if I can get less of it.

Good source from here, he stocks a variety of wire gauges and types, but this stuff is very similar to what Bottlehead uses.

I've used silver plated teflon covered solid core wire that I bought from this seller on eBay:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/10-feet-20-AWG-Silver-Plated-PTFE-Wire-Red-Solid-1-Strand-/381642958460?hash=item58dbb1667c

It comes in different colors, quantities as small as 10 ft and is very reasonably priced.

Just a small clarification - in the audio world what you ordered is more commonly called wire, and often referred to as hookup wire. It has a single conductor and some sort of insulator. In the audio world the term cable usually refers to something with multiple conductors and or a shield. This may save some confusion in the future when ordering parts.

Thanks for the clarification.  I find whatever world I dive into, the semantics are extremely important, knowing them is very helpful.
