Hi. After paying out £140 to repair my Crack + Speedball because it losses the right channel after about 15 mins of play, it's doing the same again. First time the enginer changed a couple of components on the speedball cct board. I was wondering if this has been an issue for anyone else and if so what the possible causes might be? Any help would be appreciated otherwise sadly it will be the end of the line for what was a great amp.

1) you have a bad solder joint.

2) you have a TERRIBLE technician.

I do suggest to our customers that, if you are going to pay that much you really ought to send it to us for repair. There is no one around who has more experience with these kits than we do.

It sounds like a bad connection or a thermal issue, or both. It's difficult to narrow it down much more than that without voltages. If you would like some assistance the best thing to do is start here:

Pictures!!!

And - yank the speedball if the only option is not using it.  Still sounds great without it.  You'll need to source a few resistors but they should be readily available.
