I brought a bunch of Russian 1uf K42Y2 160V capacitors the other day for a jfet MC phono stage build and thought I would parallel a few up and give them a try in the Quickie. They have been in a couple of days now and I've only had a chance to do some low volume listening to them so far but they are sounding quiet promising.

I've used those caps in several projects and they have a real nice smooth sound yet still have plenty of detail.

Dirt cheap and great sounding.  I like them better than the Mundorf MKP in oil. Perfect solution, given the spirit of the quickie!!

Cheers,
