Hey all. I've been absent for sometime. My 300B Paramounts feeding my La Scalas are work horse reliable. Sounding better than the small space I have for them.

I powder coated both my sex amp and Paramount chassis plates. I seem to recall the need to remove some paint from the bottom in certain areas for ground purposes. (But it was so long ago. I'm not even sure that was true)

So.....  Having already powder coated my Bee Pre Chassis plate. Are there any points on the under side or top side which require me to scrape away the paint to get a good ground to the plate?

I just glued up my wooden base. And I am a day or so from starting to build.   Thanks in advance.

Your memory is correct - it's all about the ground connections. So you have three options.  You can study the manual and scrape all ground connections. Or you can scrape all the terminal strip mounting holes plus the transformer mounting holes.   Or you could just completely sand the bottom.

It's possible a really tight star washer would cut through to the metal but there is a good chance one or more would not. And that would mean possibly frustrating debugging with challenging re-work.

There is an earth ground and two signal grounds if my memory serves me correct.  I powder coated my chassis and scraped it down at these three points.

Ok. Great. I took 10 mins with a Dremel and scraped all holes on the back side.
