Really liking this little pre. Have been listening to it for a couple of weeks. Thinking about upgrading the 150uf 16v cap and the 2.2uf cap. I have noticed a few people have talked about using a Black Gate for the 150uf. Since they are no longer manufactured, I could not find one with the same value as the one that is currently in the Quickie. What value would be acceptable? Or would another brand be better to try? Also looking for suggestions / recommendations for the 2.2uf cap.

There are loads of different electrolytic caps you can try in the Quickie.  I believe the smallest value you want is something like 47uF, and the highest value is whatever will fit under the chassis.  DC voltage rating should be 6V or higher.

On the 2.2uF cap, there's also some allowable variation there, but I would recommend staying over 1.5uF.  Any film cap that you find is going to have an acceptable voltage rating.

I would suggest upgrading the pot. I use the eBay 21 step DACT step attenuator.

Thanks for the suggestions. I did replace the 150uf caps with some Black Gate and the 2.2uf caps with some Mundorf Supremes.

FWIW in my experience the black gates opened up the upper end treble.  I think that part was what really made me love the Quickie besides the PJCCS and changing output caps.  Happy listening!
