Hey there,

I've built my Bottlehead Crack with the Speedball Upgrade a couple months ago and really like it. I only have one problem, that i couldn't find a thread for in this forum. Whenever I tighten my headphone jack onto the chassis, i get really loud noises kind of comparable to this: youtube.com/watch?v=7elhadWF6U0
However, when I make sure, the headphone jack sits loose on the chassis I am not facing this problem. I just rechecked, that i wired everything correctly, I have resoldered most of my soldering spots, I have done the stick test to check for bad soldering spots with no success.

Does anyone have an idea what could be the cause of this?

Best regards,
Jonas

If the position of the headphone jack creates noises, you have a flaky solder joint.  The solder joint where the black wires join on the headphone jack is one that can sometimes be tough to solder properly.
