Not Meeting High Voltage Power Supply Test [resolved]

Hi, as stated I am not meeting the DC voltage specs during the test:

My readings are as follows:

10U: 130V vs 250V
14U: 269V vs 490V
15U: 130V vs 250V

First time I have not met specs.Any suggestions as to where I should look to begin to fix?

Can you post a pic of the transformer and wiring around it?

It may be helpful to know what your mains voltage is. What country do you live in? I do not have a Kaiju but by the voltages you posted
may indicate improper primary wiring on the transformer.

Hi Lee, I live in the United States and my voltage tested out at 124.3V.

USA! USA!. It looks like one of the diodes attached to the power trans at terminal 8 is cut. Perhaps it is just the photo but I would investigate.

Nice spot Lee! It certainly looks like that first diode lead is broken on the transformer side.

If that's not it, I wonder whether some part of the voltage doubler isn't making contact. My guess would be the white wire that connects 37L and 41L. Or maybe one of the two 220uF caps that attach to that same terminal strip.  I'd try reflowing the associated joints. And make sure the teflon jacket isn't inserted into the lug hole and preventing connection.

IMPORTANT: before touching anything, use your voltmeter to make sure there's no high voltage left. If there's a problem with the white wire at 37/41, the bleeder resistors (or one of them) may not be able to do their/its job.

Hi Derek and Lee. You were right it was that Diode that was cut!! I repaired it and now the measurements read:
236 vs 250DCV
543 vs 490DCV
256 vs 250DCV

All within SPEC!!! Thanks again for your help.
