Finished my first build and it took me about a week. Worked an hour or two a night and loved every minute of it. I need to finish the base but besides that I will be plugging it in tonight and listening. Of course I need to finish the base. One question
I want to get some better feet for this kit, maybe brass, does anyone have any recommendations?
Next up the S.E.X. kit

Very nice build, inside and out. Derek's link makes me question my furniture button plugs as feet.

Looks great. My customer originally wanted green hammer tone but we decided to leave the chassis as is. Welp, after seeing your post we decided that we DO want the hammer tone. Thankfully I only have to dismount the mechanical parts and never got started on the wiring. Close call. I guess my laziness paid off in this case ;) Now him and I are going to have to discuss the finish for the base.

Regarding the paint. I used Rust-Oleum Hammerred. After a week of it sitting waiting on me to get back to it it still seemed just a "hair" tacky and was still putting out some VOC. An hour in the oven at 170 F. and all is much better. Did you have any issues like that?

I did not, mine was completely dry after 48 hours. I waited 3 days but I had no problems with it drying. It was in my basement that is around 55F for 3 days with my humidifier on.
