Crackatwoa as power amplifier
« on: November 16, 2021, 02:24:57 PM »
Hi,

Due to reasons im looking at building a crackatwoa but I will be feeding it with a preamp which has a very nice volume control and remote.

Is it possible to wire the crackatwoa as a power amp ( remove the volume pot) from the the circuit?

Thankyou
Paul

You may find it very helpful to leave the level controls in the C2A in case you need to turn them down a bit to make your preamp more usable in front of the C2A.  In practical terms, if you turn the volume pot up all the way and solder jumper wires across the 33K resistors, that will bypass the level and balance controls effectively.
