I have been using an R2R DAC (Border Patrol) for the past year and am absolutely in love with the sound. With a good source file it is awful close to my analog system (TD124, Denon 103, Ortofon arm). I recently got into tubes and built a SEX3 that I use with the Border Patrol, all I can say is wow! I initially used the SEX3 as a headphone amp but have added high efficiency open baffle speakers and the combo is absolutely wonderful. I highly recommend a R2R DAC!
