I forgot... It's been a busy summer and I've let the systems just rest.
I stream Roon to a micro PC running Roon Bridge.  From there USB to a small Schiit Modi Dac and out to the good stuff.  In spite of appearances the headphone amp is just a Crack with Speedball.  That combination with the Sennheiser HD650 is still magical.

Hey again! Always loved the customization of your builds. And yeah, the natural tone and present mids of that combo really is magical. I love acoustic music, especially, with that combo. Happy listening and happy holidays!

Nice variation on the crack. I'm going to guess there's a Goldpoint under there, based on that volume knob?

Love the aged look (I'm guessing genuine age) and the worn/rounded edges on the base.

Thanks for this, I now just dug up my Crack too. Have not listened to it in ages. Still have the speedball to install too.

Good eyes!  But I used a goldpoint knob on a Alps pot just to fool you.  I've settled on a black plate with copper bits as a standard now.  My brother built the base for me and I rounded things off to give it a bit of an aged look.  One goal was to angle the plate a bit.
