The Hagermann looks sweet. I also just noticed that many people list their systems as tag signatures. Very cool and so useful for others trying to figure out Eco-systems.

I did the first PCB soldering on the small board tonight and THAT was stressful! I think I did a pretty clean job, but am glad I waited for the Kester 0.31 solder, as the .50 I used for the Craco would have made snowmen all over the board. I also accidentally threw out the small piece of clear isolating plastic for the heat sink and fortunately read ahead to realize my mistake before the threw the bag out. Never a dull moment. The bigger board looks like less acrobatics, but I am glad I have a big magnifying lamp. Brutal in the old eyes.

Doc B.,

Ohhhh I did watch the videos, otherwise I would have absolutely messed up with blobs of solder. I had a few problems with the solder sticking to my Hakko point at 600-700 degrees, but fortunately I procured one of those solder suckers to catch any errant solder.
Not brilliant work, but I feel like it should work.

Set that Hakko for 899!  Also be careful adjusting the temp, as it's easy to accidentally adjust the calibration instead of the tip temp, then things just get colder.

Perspex synthetic material ........ https://www.ebay.com/itm/164414710194

Metal ... https://www.ebay.com/itm/152642962368?hash=item238a3ac3c0:g:t-QAAOSw5eBffepw

I have metal ones, black and chrome with my arms. They don't seem to offer the chrome one any longer.

Cool, thanks for the answer. I got the same aluminum board from the same seller a few years ago. I am using a Sumiko Premier MMT (made by Jelco) on a Technics 1200MK2.
