Hi all - quick question for you.  Do you know if the CMC Teflon tube sockets are a direct swap-out for the stock sockets that ship with the Crack?  Failing that, do you know of any direct replacements?

Thanks in advance.

Hello pluck, I used the Teflon sockets in my Crack. I also used the pcb adapters for easier soldering to the pins. I used the sockets from parts connexion, but you can get them from the tube store and fleabay as well. HTH.

Cheers,

Thanks Shawn - were they a direct swap-out or did you need to modify the top-plate or anything to get them to fit?

Thanks.

Pluck, no modification of the top plate was required, the screws line up fine, I put a couple of gold colored tube socket mounts on the top plate simply for looks. The pcb's have pin numbers on them but I still wrote them on the plate in marker just to be sure.

Cheers,
Shawn
