I got some incorrect resistance readings on my BeePre.

Supposed to be:        Actual reading:

T35 *                       .675M
T36 *                       .66M
T40 100k+               0 ohms
T41  0                       260 ohms
T43 100K+              0 ohms
T44  0 ohms            infinity (open circuit)

I checked my wiring before installation of the PC boards but I know that something must be wrong.  All help appreciated.

T40 being 0 Ohms means perhaps you have a black wire connecting there when there should be a red?

I think the 260 Ohms that you're seeing may be the 300 Ohm resistor in the high voltage supply.

There is 100% a miswire here, feel free to pop off the PC board above this power supply to snap a pic and post it here if you're unable to find the miswire.

You have to upload the picture on a different site (e.g., Flickr), and then use the image post button to insert a link to the picture.

Best regards,
Adam

Actually you don't - with the current forum software (and unlike the old days), click on "Attachments and other options" and browse for the image file. Easy!

Bob,

Look in my corner (first page of the forum), then look at the FAQ Thread.  I show two ways of posting pictures.

Good luck!

Still haven't found the mis-wire.  Also noted T15 was 300 ohms and should be low rising to 20K ohms.  Pictures are attached:

Two things:

Are 42/41 connected?  The black wire should have a long stripped lead that binds these terminals together, I can't see it on your build.

What is the DC resistance between terminals 41 and 40?

(Thanks for taking the pictures, that's super helpful!)

That's what I saw too. I just assumed that it must be there and I couldn't see it.

Yes, 42 and 41 are connected to the black wire which is stripped.  You can't see that in the picture as it is wired on the inside.

The resistance between 41 and 40 is 270k.

If 41 and 42 are connected and grounded, you can't have 260 Ohms on 42 and 0 Ohms on 42.  Can you recheck that?

TaDa!  You found it.  I rechecked and 42 was bound to 43 with the black wire and not 42-41.  I will blame this on tired old 61yo eyes. but it is really my fault.  Thank you both for helping me.
