Quickie resistance measurements

Hi,

So my Quickie is all built up, but I have a question on the resistance measurements.  The black lead of the multimeter is clipped to the ground, and I see a number of resistance measurements that need to be done : i.e. 1,6 infinity.  Does that mean I need to touch the red probe to terminal 1 (and get infinity for resistance) and then do the same to terminal 6?  I'm not familiar with the terminology listed in the manual for this.. Thanks!

Thanks..  At terminal 1, i get 40 M ohms (only sometimes, does that mean it's a cold solder joint, or is that ok?
terminal 6 says 0..  Did I do something wrong? 

Here are the final measurements, the ones in bold i'm not sure about.  Is it safe to move to voltage checks?

1,6     0 ohms , 0 ohms
2,7     0 ohms , 0 ohms
3,8     0 ohms , 0 ohms
4,9     1.073K , 1.074 K
5,10    0.5 ohm , 0.5 ohm

Rotary
1,4                    92.8k, 101.5k
2,3,5,6              0 ohms , 0 ohms, 0 ohms , 0 ohms
7,10                  0 ohms , 0 ohms
8,9,10,11,12     1.079K, 1.079K, 1.078K, 1.078K

Potentiometer
A side top 0.5 ohm, bottom 0.5 ohm
Center top 2.1ohm , 2.2ohm
B side top 101.4K
          bottom 92.7K

If you touch your red and black meter leads together, you will probably get something greater than 0 (0.5 Ohms would be my guess) because the meter is measuring the resistance of the test lead wire.

The 92K/101.5K are within 10% of 100K, so there is no need for alarm there.

I'd move along to voltage checks.
