scuba lead weight helping with microphonics
« on: January 22, 2015, 08:06:58 AM »
i've found the microphonics issue tough to deal with.  finally got some suggestions on this board to try adding weight to the top plate.  a 3 lb hand weight worked very well but was awkward.  just got this:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Cast-Lead-Weight-For-Weighted-Exercise-Vest-or-Scuba-Diving-Belt-3-pound-/271736933834?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2047675.l2557&nma=true&si=iSVT7i0GYGQk%252B%252FUXFdNcANrKFFM%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc

has a nice indentation so it fits right on top of the power trafo.  so far i'm getting none of those nasty noises!
