I just finished building the Smash kit.  Resistance check was good, but voltage check showed about twice the expected.
terminal
4              340 V
9              340 V
15            116 V
16            116 V
17            460 V
20            340 V
21            106 V
22            105 V
29            464 V
35            490 V
A2, C2      109, 98
A3, C3      114, 104
A4, C4      2,2
A8, C8      2,2

B3           465 V
B5           331 V
B7           460 V

I'v double checked the high voltage supply.  The transformer measures 177 V at 6,7.

Which terminal are you using for a ground?

I would suspect that you have some very flaky solder joints that are giving these reading errors.

I don't know what I did wrong, but reheated all the terminals in the high voltage supply.  Everything seems normal now and it sounds good.
Thanks,
Pat
