I have two quickie's. The one that I call stock (not really) has two PEC mono pots 100K, the modified quickie had two Khozmo mono attenuators (were removed for another build) and now has a stereo Audio Note 100K, I really like this little pot. In my opinion the Audio Note is an outstanding pot, I do not believe that unless you like the looks and have money to burn on the Khozmo or equal quality attenuator that their is very little difference in sound quality.
I try to use two mono pots or attenuators for balance control when possible. I do not understand why one would use a stereo pot and a balance pot when two pots or attenuators accomplishes the same results. Never did like the Alps pot, but since there is a new version with better solder lugs it is a good price choice, but not better than the PEC and not in the same league with the Audio Note, IMHO.
Sorry for the long post, taking a break from taxes.
