One of my buddies wants to go back to vinyl and headphones.  He says he likes to listen loud.  I'm going to build a Crack for him, he has no skills in this area.

So I'm looking for recommendations for rocking headphones in the $200 range.

Thanks in advance.

I had hit the Crackheadphone link and it was dead.  I see it on the product page.  That is a good option.  Will it rock?

I went to the Crackheadphone folder and looked at the second sticky.  This one gives 404:

Kris,

Great!  I'll start feeding my buddy, Steve, this information.

Those look good and have a goodly drop in price.

It's probably worth pointing out that the Crackheadphones are $119 when ordered with a Crack.

Joshua,  I didn't realize that they were still available as a combo.

So thanks!  I'll start working on Steve about the combo.

I have been looking for affordable high impedance headphones to go with the Crack and Koss is typically the only one that satisfies this requirement.

Koss MV1- 250 ohm
Koss Pro-4AA- 250 ohm
Koss Pro-4AAT- 250 ohm
Koss Pro-4AAAT- 250 ohm

All of them available for less then $100. At some point I saw the Beyerdynamic DT990 Pro 250 ohm for $150 but then I think they realized what they were selling and the price went back up to $220.

Steve and I had opted for the Bottleheadphone.  Then he said he didn't need another hobby about a week ago.
